Wednesday, February 2, 2011

An agreement has recently been signed between NP Composites and the KADDB Industrial Park (KIP) to enable the company to move its factory to the permanent location at KIP. The agreement was signed by NP Composites Managing Director, Nabil Issa, and KIP Managing Director, Wahab Al Awamleh.

KIP has just completed a specially designed building to international industry standards and in accordance with NP Composites’ requirements on an area of 6200 m2 with a building area of 3000 m2. Nabil Issa, managing Director of NP Composites said: "This agreement comes as part of the company's expansion plans due to the continued success and growth achieved over the last few years, and the need to move to a permanent site within the KADDB Industrial Park which offers an ideal integrated industrial defense manufacturing infrastructure that meets our needs and expectations."

He added: "This growth would not have been possible without the confidence and support received from the Jordan Armed Forces, General Directorate of the Gendarmerie, Public Security Directorate (PSD)and the continued support of the King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB) Management.

The relocation will allow the company to expand its production of ballistic helmets and body armor as well as adding new production lines to manufacture other personal protection products based on composite material.

In turn, Mr. Wahab Awamleh, Managing Director of KIP stated: "This agreement comes after many months of hard work to design and build an ideal factory based on requirements and specifications provided by NP Composites to meet the company’s need on both the manufacturing and investment levels”.

It is expected that the move and the installation of current and new production lines will be completed by the end of April 2011, and hence commence manufacturing in the new facility in May of the same year, to continue providing JAF, PSD, other security bodies, UN organizations and Peace Keeping Missions with their requirements of ballistic helmets, ballistic inserts and body armor.

It is worth mentioning that NP Composites exports its products to many countries in Asia, Africa and Europe and enjoys a good reputation and high integrity that reinforced the importance of the specialized industrial sector in Jordan.
